The second and the most attractive stage of the 48th International Una Regatta, from Strbacki buk to Bihac, gathered over 800 water sports enthusiasts from Bosnia, Europe, America and Australia, who decided to start the day at Strbacki buk, the largest waterfall on Una, standing at 24.5 meters high.
“They told me about the unique beauty of this waterfall and the National Park in general, so I simply had to come. I can't describe how delighted I am,” Jasmina from Slovenia said.
Amarildo Mulic, director of the Una National Park, who is also the organizer of this year's Una Regatta, said that the first stage passed without difficulties or problems.
The participants will traditionally be welcomed by numerous Bihac residents who will be able to enjoy watching jumps from the city bridge and a blobbing competition, after which they will be able to continue their socializing at the Vanna concert in the city island in Bihac.
Blobbing is an outdoor water activity in which a participant sits on the end of a partially inflated airbag and is launched into the water when another participant jumps onto the airbag from a platform on the opposite side.
The Regatta ends Saturday in Bosanska Krupa when the best participants, namely the Neptun and Una Siren, will be elected.
