The flag of Palestine was spread across the Mostar Old Bridge on Tuesday, as a sign of support for the citizens of Palestine.

It is not known who raised the flag.

The Gaza-based Hamas group launched an attack against Israel early Saturday, firing a large number of rockets. They said the surprise attack was in response to the attack on the Al-Aqsa mosque in occupied East Jerusalem and growing settler violence.

In retaliation, the Israeli military launched Operation Iron Swords against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. At least 900 Israelis have been killed and over 2,600 wounded in the fighting, Israel's Health Ministry said.
