The flag of Palestine flew as a sign of support for the people of Gaza at the Sarajevo Film Festival’s red carpet, on Wednesday.

A group of young men and women walked the red carpet and unfurled the Palestinian flag during the sixth day of the Sarajevo Film Festival.

In violation of a United Nations Security Council Resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire, Israel has faced international condemnation amid its continued brutal offensive on the Gaza Strip since the October 7, 2023 attack by the Palestinian group Hamas.

Israeli attacks on Gaza have killed more than 40,220 Palestinians since then, mostly women and children, and injured over 92,980, according to local health authorities.

Israel has been accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice, whose latest ruling ordered Tel Aviv to immediately halt its military operation in the southern city of Rafah, where over a million Palestinians sought refuge from the war before it was attacked on May 6.
