Panama vs Bosnia and Herzegovina: Dragons’ final test ahead of the World Cup

The Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team will take on Panama in St. Louis, United States, on Saturday in their final warm-up match ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The fixture will serve as the last test for head coach Sergej Barbarez and his squad before the start of the world’s biggest football tournament.

The Dragons arrived in the United States earlier this week and are putting the finishing touches on their preparations for only their second appearance at a World Cup. Following a goalless draw against North Macedonia at Sarajevo’s Koševo Stadium, the coaching staff will use the Panama match to further fine-tune the team and resolve any remaining uncertainties before the tournament begins.
The venue itself adds a special dimension to the occasion. St. Louis is home to one of the largest Bosnian and Herzegovinian communities outside Europe, and Bosnia and Herzegovina can expect overwhelming support from the stands. According to estimates, around 20,000 of the 22,000 seats at Energizer Park will be occupied by Bosnia and Herzegovina supporters, creating an atmosphere comparable to that of Bilino Polje in Zenica.
The match between Panama and Bosnia and Herzegovina kicks off at 9:00 p.m. Central European Time.
For the Dragons, the encounter represents the final opportunity to assess their readiness and build confidence before the challenges awaiting them at the World Cup, while the expected support in St. Louis should provide an ideal backdrop for their last dress rehearsal before the tournament gets underway.
