After winning against New Zealander Andrews and Portugal's Nunes, BiH’s Larisa Ceric faced off against the world’s top judoka, France's Romane Dicko, in the Olympic quarter-finals.
Although Dicko swiftly defeated Ceric, this was not the end of the competition for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s representative. Ceric will compete in the repechage round for a shot at the bronze medal.
Her next challenge will be against the winner of the quarter-final match between South Korea’s Kim Ha-yun and Brazil’s Beatriz Souza.
This is Ceric’s third appearance at the Olympic Games. In her previous two outings, she finished in ninth place.
