The Prime Minister of BiH’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity, Radovan Viskovic, stated on Friday that the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina has already opened a case regarding the celebration of the unconstitutional January 9th as Republika Srpska Day.

“The summons to Banja Luka was received yesterday. A case has been initiated at the BiH Prosecutor's Office”, he said, adding that prosecutors requested information to be provided by the end of the workday, as reported by RTRS.

“They may persecute us, they may put us on trial, but they will have to judge the people and all Serbs of Republika Srpska, from Trebinje, through Brcko, to Novi Grad, because there wasn’t a single local community that didn’t mark Republika Srpska Day”, Viskovic stated.

He also announced that he would seek to have March 1st, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Independence Day, declared a day of mourning in this entity.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed previously to N1 that a case has been formed and is being handled by a team of four prosecutors, related to last year’s celebration of January 9th.
