Poland moves to ban entry and transit for RS President Milorad Dodik
Poland has initiated proceedings to impose an entry and transit ban on Milorad Dodik, president of the Republika Srpska (RS) entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Polish Embassy in Sarajevo confirmed to Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) on May 13.

The measure has been launched due to what the Embassy described as Dodik’s “serious violations of the integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is recognized as a subject of international law.”
Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski launched the initiative, and a detailed explanation of the decision will be published once the process is complete and the ban officially comes into effect, the Embassy said.
Authorities in Republika Srpska, led by Dodik, have recently adopted a series of unconstitutional decisions and laws, prompting the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina to open an investigation. Arrest warrants have been issued against the RS leadership.

Dodik, along with National Assembly Speaker Nenad Stevandic and Prime Minister Radovan Viskovic, is under investigation for allegedly attacking the constitutional order of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In March, the three leaders were subject to a central arrest warrant after failing to respond to summonses from state prosecutors.
