In the Sarajevo neighbourhood of Stup, a fatal incident occurred on Monday night in which one person was killed. The Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior (MUP) confirmed that the victim, identified as Y.N., was of Afghan origin.
“While investigating and documenting the murder that took place yesterday afternoon on Dzemala Bijedica Street in the Ilidza municipality, we determined that the victim was Y.N., an Afghan national,” the statement said.
Additionally, the police announced the arrest of two suspects.
“Under the supervision of the Sarajevo Cantonal Prosecutor's Office, police officers from the Sarajevo Canton located and apprehended the suspects late in the afternoon at the Dariva area, in the Stari Grad municipality. Due to the suspicion of committing the crime of murder, 20-year-old T.M., an Afghan national, and 19-year-old A.M., also an Afghan national, were taken into custody and transferred to the detention facilities of the Sarajevo Canton MUP.
The police are actively searching for a third individual connected to the crime, identified as Amir Tuatahe, born in 2002, an Afghan national.”
The police concluded by requesting the public's assistance in locating the third suspect.
