Davor Dragicevic, the father of 21-year-old David whose 2018 murder remains unresolved, was taken in for questioning by police in Banja Luka regarding his posts on social media where he announced he will go to the Krajina Square on January 9, when Bosnia’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity is organising a massive celebration.
In March 2018, police found the lifeless body of David Dragicevic in a river near Banja Luka, the administrative centre of Bosnia's Serb-majority region of Republika Srpska (RS).

A few days later, a pathologist told the media that the cause of death was likely drowning and that Dragicevic had taken drugs. The press conference sparked a series of protests, especially since another autopsy performed on David’s body showed a different time of death.
Dissatisfied with the investigation, the citizens formed a group ‘Justice for David’ led by his father Davor Dragicevic, who swore he would pursue justice no matter what.
The group organized a series of protests in Banja Luka, demanding the truth behind the death of Dragicevic to be revealed.
The case was later reclassified into murder.
Davor Dragicevic and his supporters believe the RS police is covering up the murder and protecting some politically connected suspects. Dragicevic eventually left BiH and went to Vienna, Austria, arguing that he felt that his security was endangered due to his efforts to find out the truth behind the murder of his son.
He recently returned to Bosnia, after the state Prosecutor’s Office took over the case.
According to Ozred Perduv, the leader of the Justice for David group, an ambulance arrived at the scene as Dragicevic was being taken in for questioning since he fell ill.
“Davor Dragicevic has just been brought in for an informative interview. They came to his house. They took him to the police station,” Perduv said.
Other than him, Perduv, as well as Justice for David member Sofija Grmus, are also to be questioned by police.
