Police officers from the Sarajevo Canton Police Directorate, under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office, conducted a major operation codenamed "Fair Play" aimed at dismantling drug trafficking activities.
During searches conducted in the Novi Grad municipality, authorities seized over 2 kilograms of a substance resembling the drug speed, more than 100 tablets suspected to be ecstasy, around 1 kilogram of a substance resembling marijuana, an automatic rifle, a hand grenade, a pistol, over 400 rounds of ammunition, two digital scales, a grinder, and other items of interest to the investigation.
A male suspect, S.K. (1983) from Sarajevo, was arrested on suspicion of committing the crimes of Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotics (Article 238, Paragraph 1 of the FBiH Criminal Code), Unauthorized Possession of Weapons and Explosive Materials (Article 371, Paragraph 1 of the FBiH Criminal Code), and an offence under Article 74 of the Sarajevo Canton Law on Public Order and Peace.
Additionally, two other individuals, S.A. (1982) and Z.A. (1983), both from Sarajevo, were detained on suspicion of Possession and Enabling the Use of Narcotics (Article 239, Paragraph 3 of the FBiH Criminal Code).
The suspects are undergoing criminal processing at the premises of the Sarajevo Canton Police Directorate, according to an official statement.
