Officers from Bosnia and Herzegovina's State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) launched a major operation on Wednesday, dubbed "Potential," spanning across Mostar, Zenica, Banja Luka, and Bijeljina. Acting on directives from the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and under the watchful eye of the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, SIPA agents executed search warrants at six different locations, targeting homes, outbuildings, and vehicles.

The operation led to the arrest of six individuals, who are currently en route to SIPA headquarters for questioning and criminal processing.

Operation Potential was initiated due to suspicions of organised crime linked to illegal trade, a serious offence under the BiH Criminal Code.

During the extensive searches, authorities confiscated a significant amount of illicit goods, including seven kilograms of cut tobacco, 1,500 packs of cigarettes lacking the mandatory BiH control and tax stamps, 749 tablets not approved by the BiH Agency for Medicines and Medical Devices, and 29 additional packages of various unauthorised tablets. Other items believed to be relevant evidence in the ongoing criminal proceedings were also seized.
