Power outage in RSNA as Vukanovic accuses authorities of causing ERS collapse
The special session of the National Assembly of the entity of Republika Srpska (RSNA) was terminated due to a power outage at the very moment when the head of the For Justice and Order List caucus, Nebojsa Vukanovic, accused the authorities of the “collapse of the RS Power Utility, which does not have enough money to pay employees’ social contributions.”
Vukanovic took the floor during the debate on the proposed rebalance of the RS budget for this year, the increase in long-term borrowing from 1.7 billion KM to 2.5 billion KM, and the increase in the amount of guarantees that Republika Srpska may issue.
“The ERS cannot pay social contributions, and all that remains of ‘Forests of RS’ are tree stumps. No one has devastated us like this government,” Vukanovic said, after which the power went out in the RSNA chamber.
Earlier, the RS Minister of Finance Zora Vidovic stated that the proposed rebalance of the RS budget for this year amounts to 8.525 billion KM and is higher than the current budget by 1.116 billion KM, with additional allocations planned for salaries, pensions, veterans’ benefits, social categories, as well as education.
