The first meeting of the European Political Community has brought 44 European leaders together in Prague on Thursday, including the Chairman of Bosnia's Presidency Sefik Dzaferovic who said that the summit conveyed a strong message.

“It is very important that Bosnia and Herzegovina took part and that the standpoints of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Ukraine have been reaffirmed, aligned with the common foreign and security policy of the EU,” said Dzaferovic.

He also emphasised the importance of continuing the European and Euro-Atlantic perspectives of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“Bosnia and Herzegovina needs peace and stability, this is why it is of utmost importance to ensure the continuation of the presence of the international military mission in Bosnia nd Herzegovina, as well as the (EU) candidate status,” said Dzaferovic.

Speaking of the summit, he said that the strongest message conveyed from the gathering is the fact that it brought together the community from the United Kingdon, the EU and the Western Balkans to Turkey.
