“Concluding this agreement is important not only because it is the culmination of more than two years of coordination and negotiation, it also represents the United States’ strong commitment to continued security cooperation with Kosovo….The agreement advances Kosovo’s ability to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity through information sharing with the United States,” the ambassador told the signing ceremony.
He said that the US remains firmly committed to Kosovo’s sovereignty and that the agreement “promotes our shared goal to successfully develop the Kosovo Security Force into a professional, NATO-operable, multi-ethnic, territorial defense force”.
