General Directors Belmin Karamehmedovic of BHRT and Dzemal Sabic of RTV FBiH public broadcasters have signed a cooperation agreement, facilitated by the Ministry of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“This agreement marks a step towards resolving the unprecedented crisis faced by BHRT. After half a year of agony and uncertainty for this media house and its employees, funds collected by Elektroprivreda BiH from the RTV fee will be allocated in the coming days. Following the signing of this agreement and the transfer of funds to BHRT's account, employees will receive their salaries, and future mutual relations and obligations between BHRT and FTV have been agreed upon,” stated the BHRT Management Board.
In addition to the cooperation agreement, the general directors of BHRT and FTV also signed an annex to the contract with Elektroprivreda BiH regarding the collection of the RTV fee.
“BHRT thanks Minister of Communications and Transport of BiH Edin Forto for his mediation and efforts in finding a solution, as well as all other stakeholders who have supported BHRT so far,” the statement concludes.
