Bosnia's best female swimmer Lana Pudar won bronze medal in the women's 200 m butterfly race at the World Championship in Doha, Qatar, winning Bosnia and Herzegovina's first-ever medal in this sport at the world championships.
Lana finished the race in 2:07.92, right behind Denmark's Helena Rosendahl Bach (2:07.44) and the winner, British Laura Stephens (2:07.35).
“It is a nice feeling,” Pudar said after the race, calling her competition in the semi-finals a day before as a “bad race.”
She then turned to the cheering crowd and said “I love you all”!
Pudar's achievement was honoured by the organisers.
The competition comes after Pudar's shoulder injury that she just recently recovered from.
Pudar is the European junior champion in the same category.
She is the national record holder in all six butterfly events and a Mediterranean Games record holder in the 100m women's butterfly event.
