Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series kicks off in Mostar with spectacular opening round

Following the completion of the first round, the women's competition features an immediate tie at the top of the leaderboard. Australia's Xantheia Pennisi and Canada's Molly Carlson both secured identical scores of 66.30 points from the judges. Closely trailing the joint leaders is Kaylea Arnett of the United States, who posted 65.00 points. Meanwhile, Simone Leathead of Canada, Ginni Van Katwijk of the Netherlands, and reigning champion Rhiannan Iffland of Australia share the next position with 63.70 points each.

Additional scores in the women's division saw Lisa Faulkner of the United States, Iris Schmidbauer of Germany, and Stella Forsyth of Australia each earn 62.40 points. Ukraine's Nelli Chukanivska collected 60.00 points, followed by Switzerland's Morgane Herculano with 50.70 points, while Germany's Maike Halbisch currently sits at the bottom of the rankings after receiving 46.80 points for her opening effort.

In the men's division, France's Gary Hunt set the standard on the opening day, demonstrating exceptional form and comfort in Mostar to claim the lead with 66.30 points. Ukraine's Oleksiy Prygorov secured second place with 65.00 points. Colombia's Miguel Garcia and Spain's Carlos Gimeno both tallied 63.70 points. A group consisting of Constantin Popovici of Romania, Great Britain's Aidan Heslop, Mexico's Sergio Guzman, and the United States' James Lichtensten each achieved 62.40 points. Michael Foisy of Canada and Yolotl Martinez of Mexico earned 61.10 points apiece, with Switzerland's Pierrick Schafer at 58.50 points and Brazil's Jucelino Junior at 58.70 points rounding out the initial standings.

Competition continues on Friday, July 31, with the second round scheduled to begin at 3:15 pm. Fans unable to attend the spectacle in person can follow live broadcasts via the official Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series YouTube channel. The final day of competition on Saturday, August 1, will also be streamed live on YouTube, Red Bull TV, and Hayat TV starting at 16:30.

Post-competition celebrations will continue across multiple venues in Mostar, including Bijeli Bar, Marshall, the Lazy Bar Stage beneath the Stari Most plateau, and Alibaba, highlighted by a live performance from the band Divanhana at Bijeli Bar on Saturday, August 1.

Prior to the Mostar stop, the championship standings featured Rhiannan Iffland leading the women's division with 57 points, followed by Simone Leathead with 37 points, Molly Carlson and Lisa Faulkner with 33 points each, and Kaylea Arnett with 31 points. In the men's championship, Aidan Heslop led with 52 points, followed by James Lichtenstein with 44 points, Constantin Popovici with 35 points, Catalin Preda with 32 points, and Jonathan Paredes with 23 points.
