Bosnia's Communications Regulatory Agency (RAK) has decided there is no ground to launch a procedure against the private TV station FACE TV over the allegations that its host and editor Senad Hadzifejzovic used word “to kill” in reference to Bosnian Serb politician Milorad Dodik, as those who accused him of that had claimed.
Drasko Milinovic, the agency director, announced “rigorous measures” against FACE TV over the interview question of host and editor Senad Hadzifejzovic, whom he accused of asking his guest whether Dodik should “be removed, calmed down or be killed”.
Milinovic announced a shortened procedure, claiming that the Code on the provision of audio-visual media services and radio media services was violated during the show.
Rigorous measures announced after TV host’s question regarding Dodik
Later on the same day Hadzifejzovic published the video of the disputable segment of the show and denied the allegations, explaining that the word he used was “to soothe” not to kill Dodik. The two words do sound somewhat similar in Bosnian, especially when pronounced quickly (‘ubiti’ and ‘umiriti’).
The Communications Regulatory Agency told N1 on Friday that based on a preliminary procedure against FACE Tv regarding this matter, it was established that there is no ground to launch the main procedure. The decision was passed on the grounds of the expert findings carried out by the Agency for forensic and expert examinations.
