In response to devastating floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina, a local councillor from Knic, Serbia, Nikola Camparevic, has spearheaded a humanitarian effort to gather aid for affected areas. The three-day campaign saw overwhelming support from local residents, who donated essential items such as clothing, shoes, blankets, and canned food, filling an entire van.

Speaking to the Beta news agency, Camparevic emphasized the urgency of the situation. “This tragedy has claimed many lives and left countless people without everything they've worked for over the years. I felt compelled to organize this action to offer some relief,” he stated.

Residents from Knic and nearby areas, including Dragusica, Pajsijevic, and Kragujevac, were quick to contribute, with notable support from the cultural association “Vuk i Naum” from Toponica. Their collective efforts resulted in a significant amount of aid for those in need.

Originally planning to personally transport the supplies in his own vehicle, Camparevic explained that, at the request of Bosnia and Herzegovina's ambassador to Serbia, Aleksandar Vranjes, a larger vehicle will be sent next week to Knic to ensure the aid is delivered safely to its intended destination.

The initiative highlights the solidarity between the Serbian and Bosnian communities in times of crisis, with local efforts playing a critical role in supporting the victims of the floods.
