Opposition leaders and Jelena Trivic, the candidate for Republika Srpska (RS) entity President told some 2,000 protesters in Banja Luka, the administrative centre of the Bosnian entity, that they will not back down from their demands for an investigation into the alleged election fraud announcing a protest march from the BiH election watchdog headquarters to the Office of the High Representative (OHR) in Sarajevo.

“The votes weren’t stolen from me, They were stolen from the people. Instead of asking me to admit the mafia robbery, tonight you told them what to do,” said Jelena Trivic at tonight's opposition protests in Banja Luka, telling the ruling Alliance of Independent Candidates (SNSD) whose candidate Milorad Dodik is in the lead for the position of RS President to “leave, the people don’t want you.”

She said that the gathered people would not back down. Finally, she presented their two requests:

“We have two requests: we are asking the Central Election Commission (CIK BiH)to recount the votes in all places throughout the RS and to analyze and examine all the white ballots. We ask the judicial institutions to conduct an investigation against all persons who violated the electoral will of the citizens. The perpetrators must be punished, especially their principals. We will persevere,” Trivic said.

Vukanovic announces march from CIK to OHR

“I want to say that with the support of the people, all the power and injustice will fall. They are probably looking at us now and are sick of us,” Nebojsa Vukanovic, the leader of the Party “For Justice and Order”.

“I came before the OHR alone, I like to be with them alone. Next week there will be a protest march from the CIK BiH to the OHR, so we will say to [High Representative Christian] Schmidt: Come down and let's talk. A message to him and foreigners, you will not shape our destiny,” Vukanovic announced.

Borenovic: Mile, leave

The Party of Democratic Progress (PDP) Leader, Branislav Borenovic, addressed those gathered at tonight's meeting of the opposition in Banja Luka and said that they came to fight against alleged election fraud, the mafia and corruption.

“I told them that even more of us would come, and even more of us came to say that the President of the RS is Trivic,” Borenovic said and added:

“We are fighting against election fraud, mafia and corruption. We know that this corruption is an introduction to corruption in healthcare, the judiciary and every part of society. This is our obligation because we have your support. You sent the key message which is ‘Mile (short for Milorad), leave’.”

“I am convinced we will succeed because we asked the CIK for a recount and the people will get that. The people deserve the truth. We will go wherever necessary so that the truth comes out,” Borenovic added.

The protests ended after the three held their speeches.
