In an interview with N1, Ukrainian journalist Peter Zalmayev commented on the current situation in Ukraine, the media situation in the country, relations between the current and former presidents of Ukraine, and how difficult it is not to be in regular contact with family members.
He noted that Russia has experienced the closure of probably its last independent newspaper - Novaya Gazeta. In his opinion, this and such events that have taken place in that country, recently, make it look as if Russian President Vladimir Putin is nearing the end of his reign. Zalmayev claims Russia has completely gone back to Soviet times.
