Mejasa Duhanović, who was the teacher of one of the victims, told N1 that she came today to support the Association of the Faculty of Medicine in Sarajevo, but also to all medics, students of the Faculty of Medicine and other students in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“And all with a message – that Alma Suljic, Azra Spahic and our two wonderful girls from Bosanka Krupa, who died in a similar way a few days ago, should not be forgotten, but should be our motivation (…) to demand better safety for pedestrians on the street,” he said.

On May 26, Armin Berberovic hit three people with a vehicle at a pedestrian crossing. Azra Spahic died at the scene of the accident, and the two other victims were immediately transported to the hospital for assistance. Alma Suljic passed away on Friday.

Berberovic was arrested the day after the accident. It was found that he was driving under the influence of alcohol, faster than the speed limit and without passing a driving test.
