Sarajevo Airport expands global reach with new summer routes

This season introduces three significant new routes to Paris (Orly), Berlin, and Ankara. For the first time, low-cost carrier Transavia France, part of the Air France–KLM Group, enters the Bosnia and Herzegovina market. Beginning April 17, 2026, the airline will launch a direct Paris (Orly) – Sarajevo route with two weekly flights on Mondays and Fridays. This connection links the Bosnian capital with a global hub for politics, culture, and business. Ticket prices start from €69 one way at www.transavia.com.

From May 9 to October 24, 2026, Eurowings will reintroduce direct flights between Berlin and Sarajevo. The schedule includes Saturday flights in May, June, September, and October, with additional Thursday flights during July and August. This route results from collaboration between Sarajevo International Airport, the Sarajevo Canton Tourism Board – "Visit Sarajevo," and the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Economy. Additionally, AJet will launch a new direct Ankara – Sarajevo route on July 1, 2026, operating every Wednesday and Saturday. This expansion strengthens connectivity with the Turkish capital for tourism and business. Tickets start from €58 one way at ajet.com or the airport ticket office.

The summer schedule also sees the return of popular seasonal destinations, including Thessaloniki, Copenhagen, Oslo, Paris-Beauvais, Doha, Muscat, Kuwait, Riyadh, Dammam, Bodrum, Izmir, Antalya, and Hurghada. These flights will be serviced by carriers such as Norwegian Air Shuttle, Norwegian Air Sweden, SAS, Qatar Airways, Oman Air, Kuwait Airways, and Flynas.
