Sarajevo International Airport recorded a total of 82,926 passengers in March of this year, while in March last year 76,193 passengers passed through the airport. Also, in March 2019, which was considered one of the most successful year in terms of tourism, prior to the Covid pandemic, the airport recorded a total of 67,893 passengers.

A total of 945 air operations were performed in March 2024, which is five more than in March 2023.

In the first three months of this year, Sarajevo International Airport recorded a total of 235,492 passengers, 2,691 air operations and 714.1 tons of cargo.

Passengers will be able to travel from Sarajevo International Airport this summer to more than 30 destinations in Europe and the world, using both regular and charter flights.

Head of Sarajevo Canton Tourist Board, Haris Fazlagic, told a press conference earlier this week that competent authorities are currently working on an international public call for new airlines that will cover the years 2025 and 2026, pointing out that, in cooperation with the Sarajevo Canton authorities he will do his best to bring other airlines to Sarajevo, which would increase the number of destinations.
