Sarajevo honors the memory of 1,601 children killed during the siege

As announced by the Sarajevo Canton Protocol and Press Service, flags will be flown at half-mast on the buildings of cantonal institutions, as well as on the premises of public enterprises and organizations.

Media outlets are recommended to adapt their programming to honour the Day of Mourning and to refrain from broadcasting entertainment-oriented content.

Sarajevo Canton authorities invite all citizens to remember their youngest fellow citizens who were killed with due respect and piety. Furthermore, citizens are encouraged to show solidarity with the families of the victims and to contribute to a dignified observance of this day through their conduct.
