Sarajevo marks seventh anniversary of murder of police officers Adis Sehović and Davor Vujinovic

The Ministry of Interior of Sarajevo Canton, the Sarajevo Canton Police Directorate, and the Police Union today marked the seventh anniversary of the murder of police officers Adis Sehović and Davor Vujinovic.

Flowers were laid at the memorial site on Goethe Street, where the officers were killed, as well as at Sehovic’s grave at the Buca Potok Martyrs’ Cemetery and Vujinovic’s grave at the St. Joseph Cemetery in Sarajevo.

As part of the commemoration, the “Adis & Davor” Memorial Indoor Football Tournament is being held again this year, organized by the Sarajevo Canton Police Union in honor of the two slain officers.

Police officers Sehovic and Vujinovic were killed in the line of duty in the Alipasino Polje neighborhood on October 26, 2018.

For the brutal killing, Sava Marinkovic was sentenced to 45 years in prison, while Aleksandar Macan received a 15-year sentence. The third defendant, Marko Trifković, was also sentenced to 15 years after pleading guilty.
