“Operation ‘Brut’ is being carried out in collaboration with the Slovenian National Bureau of Investigation, the Royal Swedish Police, and Europol, with the goal of uncovering evidence linked to the murder of Satko Kekic in Slovenia,” the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of Interior (MUP KS) stated.
Searches are being conducted at multiple locations in the municipalities of Novi Grad, Ilidza, and Vogosca under the order of the Sarajevo Cantonal Court. The operation is based on an international request for assistance from the Slovenian police.
According to N1’s earlier reports, the targets of this operation are Bosnian nationals and individuals close to Dino Muzaferovic, also known as Cezar, who has been linked to Kekic’s murder.
Slovenian police received intelligence in December indicating that Muzaferovic’s criminal group was planning to assassinate Kekic. Despite this, Kekic was murdered in Ljubljana.
Additionally, Bosnian police agencies have gathered information suggesting that an assassination was also being planned against journalist Avdo Avdic due to his reporting on this criminal organization.
