The latest statistics from the Tourist Board of Sarajevo Canton indicate a continued upward trend in tourist arrivals and overnight stays. In July 2024, Sarajevo Canton welcomed nearly 106,000 visitors, with almost 234,000 overnight stays. This marks a 23% increase in arrivals and a 13% increase in overnight stays compared to July 2023.

The majority of foreign tourists in July came from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Croatia, Serbia, China, Germany, the USA, Slovenia, the UAE, and Kuwait.

During the first seven months of 2024, the number of visitors increased by 29%, and overnight stays by 26% compared to the same period in 2023.

“We expect to break all previous records for tourist arrivals and overnight stays in Sarajevo Canton this year. Especially during the summer, Sarajevo has been an exceptionally popular and attractive tourist destination. We believe that we will soon achieve new statistical records, particularly during the Sarajevo Film Festival,” said Haris Fazlagic, President of the Sarajevo Canton Tourist Board.
