N1’s team visited the Sarajevo settlements of Otes and Dobrosevici where certain agricultural areas have been flooded already. The water reached a nearby house, but fortunately, it stopped there.
Officials noted that the situation is under control. Currently, The upper basin of the Bosna River is in an extraordinary hydrological situation. Measuring stations in Ilidza, Reljevo and Blazuj show that the water level is decreasing, and it is expected it will drop in other locations.
However, the previous high water levels resulted in the flooding of agricultural areas on the right bank of the Bosna River.
Residents of Sarajevo's Otes settlement constantly monitor the water level of the Zeljeznica River. They fear the situation from November 2021, when the swollen river flooded a large number of houses in this settlement.
Locals say that they haven't even repaired the previous damages and that they are already afraid of new ones. A sleepless night is behind them, and they fear the next ones will not be peaceful either.
