An informal group of young people is organizing a new gathering in Sarajevo this coming weekend, continuing a series of protests sparked by the tragic tram accident and the death of 23-year-old Academy of Fine Arts student Erdoan Morankic.

"We invite citizens to join us at the protests to be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, starting at 12 pm in front of the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The invitation is extended to all citizens: students, high schoolers, workers, and retirees, to come out in large numbers and support the struggle for a better tomorrow. 'Come, be part of the change, and let us show together that the voice of the citizens must be heard,'" the call stated.

Last Friday, a protest was held in front of the Sarajevo Canton Government building during a session of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly. During that session, the dismissal of Prime Minister Nihad Uk was confirmed, which consequently resulted in the dismissal of the entire government cabinet.

During the most recent gathering, the youth group presented a new set of formal demands to government representatives.
