International community’s High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina Christian Schmidt delivered a speech at the "Peacemaker of the Century" award ceremony, where former US President Bill Clinton was honoured for his contributions to global peace efforts.
Schmidt highlighted Clinton’s crucial role in securing the Dayton Peace Agreement, which ended the 1992-1995 war in BiH. He emphasized that the strong partnership between the US and its allies remains vital in implementing the agreement and supporting Bosnia’s European integration.
Speaking at the Cinema for Peace event in Berlin, Schmidt stated: “We achieved peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina—it is now a reality and the only perspective.”
