Christian Schmidt, High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, sent a message regarding tomorrow's local election in Kresevo, Kiseljak, Fojnica and Konjic.
In the beginning, he sent a message of support to those affected by the floods.
“In memory of the victims of the recent floods and landslides in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in solidarity with their families, all survivors, and everyone who has faced losses, I want to convey the message that you are always in our hearts and minds and will never be forgotten or abandoned,” Schmidt said.
“As we know, during these difficult times for the entire country, particularly the affected municipalities, elections – one of the most important democratic processes – had to be organized and conducted,” he added.
He then recalled that citizens of Fojnica, Kiseljak, Konjic, and Kresevo would have the opportunity to vote in the local elections.
“That is why my next message for them is to cast their votes and show their commitment to shaping the future of their community through speedy recovery and development,” the High Representative noted.
He then commended the BiH Central Election Commission for their work, “especially their professional handling of the situation in the flood-affected areas, making it possible and easier for citizens there to have their voice heard.”
