The end of the fasting is marked at sunset everyday traditionally from Sarajevo's Yellow Fortress, a hill above the Old Town, with a cannon shot that echoes throughout most of the city.

“High Representative Christian Schmidt extended his heartfelt wishes to the Islamic Community and all Muslims in BiH for joy and good health during the upcoming days of Ramadan. ‘I wish you and your families a blessed Ramadan, spent in peace and happiness. Ramazan Šerif Mubarek Olsun!’,” said Schmidt.
