Serbia’s Defence Minister Milos Vucevic said Thursday that Bosnia’s Defence Minister Zukan Helez is forcing a constituent people out of BiH with his statements.
Answering a journalist's question to comment on Helez's announcement that “one man is enough to go and cut the BiH entity Republika Srpska [in half] and for the Americans to send weapons,” Vucevic told “Happy” Television that he does not understand how Helez thinks he would cut anything.
“This shows that the Minister doesn't perceive a part of that country as his own, that is, that a constituent people is not perceived as part of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” said Vucevic.
He added that “Helez is not preserving the BiH integrity with his statements, but forces an entire people out of it.”
“When they hear that, people then say they don’t want to be there. I can't wait to see Helez and ask him what it's all about,” said Vucevic.
Bosnia’s Deputy Defence Minister Aleksandar Goganovic, told Srna news agency that he was “disappointed by the fact that Minister Zukan Helez calls for war in BiH in his statements, and said that no one should do that, especially not them who run the Defense.”
Speaking in N1's Pressing, Helez commented on the inflammatory rhetoric of Milorad Dodik, the President of the Republika Srpska entity, who has been announcing secession and merging the entity with Serbia as well as withdrawal from the state institutions.
“It will be like this until we say it can't go on like this. Until a part of Bosnia and Herzegovina is attacked or tried to be taken out – there will be a conflict – there is no other option. I was never the first one to say I would attack anyone. But, I am clear, I won't allow anyone take a part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Whoever touches its borders will get a response. A peaceful dissolution means a war,” he underlined.
