In memory of the 28th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica, at 11:07 am, a jump was performed from the Old Bridge in Mostar without applause.

In front of a crowd of tourists and visitors, Emil Tiro performed the jump, and the Diving Club “Mostari” said that for 28 years they have been honouring the victims of genocide in this way and that a message is being sent from UNESCO monument to the entire world that the genocide in Srebrenica must not be forgotten.

“This is a day when any word is superfluous, when silence speaks volumes, today this silence screams and we sympathize with the mothers of Srebrenica and as long as the Mostari Diving Club exists, we will remember the victims of genocide on this day with a symbolic jump without applause at 11:07 am,” said Adela Gosto from the Diving Club “Mostari,” said.

The people of Mostar started jumping from the Old Bridge as a sign of reverence for the victims immediately after the genocide in Srebrenica in 1995.
