Six people were killed and several injured in a fire that broke out in an apartment building in the northern Bosnian town of Brcko on Saturday, local police told N1.

“Six burned bodies were found and there were also injured persons who were hospitalised,” the police said.

Local media in Brcko District reported that, unofficially, the firefighters rescued four children from the same building.

The fire broke out at around 7 a.m. and it is suspected that the victims all died of carbon monoxide poisoning.
