State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) officers arrested six former Bosnian army members suspected of involvement in war crimes against Serb civilians.

The suspects are under investigation for war crimes committed in the village of Josanica near Foca in December 1992, when 56 Serbs, mostly civilians including women and children, were killed.

Homes were set on fire and destroyed during the attack and the remains of the victims were later found and identified.

The suspects are accused of having participated in the attack on the village and involvement in crimes against the population as commanders and members of the Visegrad Brigade of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
