Citizens across Bosnia and Herzegovina can pre-order Starlink satellite internet starting today, 21 October. Owned by SpaceX and founder Elon Musk, the service has officially published its monthly package tiers for both residential and corporate subscribers, with prices starting at 68 Bosnian marks (approx. €34.77) per month.

To secure a spot on the service list, applicants must pay a deposit of 137 marks (approx. €70.05), with actual service activation depending on network availability at the specific location. Unlike traditional telecommunications providers relying on cable, fibre optic, or mobile tower infrastructure, Starlink operates a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites. This technology delivers connectivity to remote, rural, and mountainous areas where stable access is often severely constrained.

For home users, Starlink offers three unlimited data options: Residential 100 Mbps for 68 Bosnian marks (approx. €34.77) monthly, Residential 200 Mbps for 88 marks (approx. €45.00), and Residential Max for 108 marks (approx. €55.22). Maximum download speeds for the first two plans reach 100 and 200 Mbps respectively, whereas Residential Max can surpass 400 Mbps under optimal technical conditions. Actual speeds remain subject to network load and location constraints. Equipment including a satellite dish and router must be purchased separately.

For travelers and holiday homeowners, Starlink introduced two Roam packages featuring an option to pause subscriptions when unused. The Roam 100 GB tier costs 88 marks (approx. €45.00) monthly with reduced speeds following data cap depletion, whilst Roam Unlimited costs 186 marks (approx. €95.10) per month.

Commercial users gain access to Local Priority packages designed for priority network traffic. Monthly pricing stands at 59 marks (approx. €30.17) for 50 GB, 167 marks (approx. €85.39) for 500 GB, 302 marks (approx. €154.41) for 1 TB, and 572 marks (approx. €292.46) for 2 TB, with options to purchase additional priority data.

In regions where capacity is currently saturated, paying the 137 marks (approx. €70.05) deposit places customers on a waiting list. SpaceX continues expanding its satellite constellation capacity to address these areas, advising users to review all equipment pricing, terms, and address availability directly on the official website prior to making payments. The satellite service offers critical coverage potential for mountain lodges, agricultural holdings, tourist facilities, and businesses operating outside urban infrastructure.
