The municipality of Srebrenica and the city of Doboj, whose residents will cast their ballots in a repeat voting on Sunday, are in the election silence from this morning until Sunday 7 pm, when all polling stations will close in these two local communities, Bosnia's top electoral authority said on Saturday.
The polling stations will open at 7 am in both Srebrenica and Doboj.
The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina decided on February 2 that residents of Doboj and Srebrenica will elect their local authorities in a repeat voting.
The Commission initially annulled on January 21 the election results for 26 out of 28 polling stations for Srebrenica as well as 89 out of a total of 108 polling stations in Doboj over reported irregularities but political parties sent eleven appeals challenging this decision before the State Court.
However, the court rejected all appeals on January 27.
In accordance with the Election Law, the vote in both Doboj and Srebrenica will be done based on the same voter register and candidate slates that were used in the initial local election in October 2020.
