Titled "From Words to Violence: Lives Behind the Killing Fields" and "The Legacy of Hope After the 1995 Srebrenica Genocide: A New Generation's Journey," the displays will remain open to the public in the Visitors' Lobby through August 28, 2026.

These exhibitions, which premiered at the UN in 2025 for the 30th anniversary of the genocide, were officially gifted by the Permanent Mission of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the UN Outreach Programme. Created by the Srebrenica Memorial Center, the materials have now been integrated into the Outreach Programme’s permanent educational assets to support global awareness and historical preservation regarding the consequences of the genocide.
The presentations, located in the Visitors' Lobby, one of the most frequented areas of the UN headquarters, offer a comprehensive narrative on the devastation and long-term legacy of the events of July 1995. "From Words to Violence: Lives Behind the Killing Fields" examines the systematic destruction of lives and families, highlighting the profound dangers of hate speech and institutional indifference.

VišeComplementing this, "The Legacy of Hope After the 1995 Srebrenica Genocide: A New Generation's Journey" features eight personal testimonies from survivors who were children during the genocide or were born in its aftermath. Through a series of photographs and individual narratives, the exhibition underscores the resilience of the human spirit. According to organizers, these stories serve as "beacons of hope," illustrating how the new generation actively maintains a culture of remembrance, compassion, and peace in the face of immense loss.
