A memorial dedicated to the victims of the Srebrenica genocide will be inaugurated on Thursday, July 10, in Luxembourg, the country’s Srebrenica Organising Committee has announced.
“This is a significant moment for our community, a moment when the truth about the genocide in Srebrenica becomes part of the public space in the heart of Luxembourg’s capital,” the organisers stated.
The monument will be installed in Tony Neumann Park, located in the prestigious Limpertsberg district of Luxembourg City, to mark the 30th anniversary of the 1995 genocide.

“This memorial is not just an architectural structure, it is a message of values, a statement of conscience. It is a space that will permanently stand as a reminder of the truth, but also a tribute to dignity, resilience, and shared memory,” the statement added.
Srebrenica is gaining its place in Luxembourg. And it will be there forever,” the Organising Committee declared.
