The Stanic Group, a leading producer and distributor of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, has taken over the Bihac-based Bihacka Pivovara brewery, the group stated in a press release on Monday.
After it took over the Zadar-based Maraska beverage producer and Heineken's non-alcoholic brands in Slovenia — Sola and Zala — the group decided to continue its expansion and diversify its portfolio to include also beers.
Therefore it acquired the Bihacka Pivovara.
This acquisition fits in the group's business vision, the Stanic Group owner and management board chairman, Svjetlan Stanic, was quoted as saying.
The group is the leading producer of non-carbonated juices in the region, and it has a factory in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in Croatia. They produce over 100 million litres of juice annually.
