Officials confirmed that Starlink is preparing to roll out its satellite internet services in Bosnia and Herzegovina following a meeting in Washington, D.C., between BiH Communications and Transport Minister Edin Forto and senior representatives from the company.

The talks, held with Rebecca Hunter, Starlink’s Director of New Market Entry, and Manager Prakul Kapoor, highlighted a shared commitment to making the service available in Bosnia and Herzegovina as quickly as possible.

Beyond connectivity, both sides expressed interest in broader cooperation once regulatory conditions are in place. Areas of potential collaboration include digital government initiatives, improvements in healthcare delivery, and the creation of fast-response systems for natural disasters.

The Ministry of Transport and Communications confirmed that the meeting took place on the sidelines of the Spring Meetings of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, which Minister Forto is participating in his capacity as Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Alternate Governor at the World Bank.
