State Department's Donfried to Bosnian leaders: Ensure fair and free elections
The US is committed to Bosnia and Herzegovina's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and multi-ethnic character, assistant secretary for the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs Karen Donfried said in a meeting with Bosnia Presidency members in Sarajevo on Wednesday.
She said that all BiH leaders have a duty to pursue reconciliation and consensus-building through dialogue, and to ensure citizens' democratic right to timely, free and fair elections.
Donfried also stressed that the US will hold accountable all actors who “undermine BiH's Euro-Atlantic perspective through corrupt of destabilising acts.”

Donfried is paying a visit to Western Balkan countries from April 25 to 29, with stops in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia, State Department announced last week.
