Igor Stojanovic, Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SDP), has sparked controversy by accusing the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) of being willing to relinquish 78% of Bosnia’s territory in order to create an "Islamic republic" on the remaining 22%.

Stojanovic’s remarks, posted on the platform X, triggered strong reactions, including a sharp rebuke from actor and SDA member Emir Hadzihafizbegovic, who called him a “vile scoundrel.”

Stojanovic defended his comments by claiming SDA leader Bakir Izetbegovic has referred to “Bosniak territory” multiple times, comparing it to the rhetoric of HDZ BiH, which he says divides the country.

SDA quickly refuted the allegations, stating that Izetbegovic never made such remarks and accused political rivals of taking statements out of context.

Edin Ramic, SDA parliamentarian, condemned Stojanovic’s statement as "malicious," asserting that SDA has always supported a unified, multi-ethnic Bosnia and Herzegovina.
