Three major laws win the support of BiH House of Representatives

MPs in the BiH House of Representatives voted on three agreed laws related to Bosnia’s European path.

The Law on High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council (HJPC) was adopted with 24 votes in favour. The House of Representatives Board proposed to the House of Peoples to vote on the Law on the HJPC in an urgent procedure.

This law is one of the 14 priorities that the European Commission put before BiH in response to the request for membership in the EU.

Also, the Draft Law on Freedom of Access to Information received the support of the House of Representatives with an amendment by Albin Musli from the Social Democratic Party (SDP). The Law on the Ombudsman for Human Rights also received the support of the majority.

The Law on VAT proposed by Serb Democratic Party (SDS) MPs Mladen Bosic and Darko Babalj was adopted with amendments.
