The Cantonal Court in Sarajevo has sentenced El Oweiti Abdel Majid, Hedberg Oliver Peter, and Konrad Tylus to ten years in prison each for the murder of a Swedish citizen. The sentencing follows a plea agreement accepted by the court.

The trio will serve their sentences in Sweden at the defence's request.

The crime occurred on October 31, 2023, around 4:25 pm, in the Bulevar neighbourhood of the Ilidza municipality in Sarajevo. The victim, a Swedish national, was fatally attacked, prompting an intense investigation.

After committing the murder, the accused fled to the Republika Srpska entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. They were apprehended shortly thereafter by police officers from the RS Interior Ministry. Two were detained in Pale, while Hedberg Oliver Peter was arrested in the Sokolac municipality, according to a statement from the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office.
