A tragic traffic accident has led to the closure of the M-17 highway near Radesina, between Konjic and Jablanica. The Operational Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNK) confirmed the incident to N1, noting that there were four fatalities.
According to initial reports, four people have lost their lives, while several others have sustained severe injuries.
"Spouses and two children were killed. One child with injuries was transferred to the hospital," the Operational Center of the Ministry of Interior, HNK, told N1.
A truck and a passenger vehicle were involved in the accident, and the on-duty prosecutor was sent to the scene together with the emergency services.
Traffic in the area remains suspended as emergency services respond to the scene. Further details about the circumstances of the accident are yet to be released.
