A tragic incident occurred in the Old Town of Mostar in the afternoon, when a foreign tourist from Serbia fell while taking photos and died on the spot. The police of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNK) confirmed the incident to Bljesak.info.

“A Serbian national (born in 1980) fell from a wall in the Old Town into a cave and died instantly,” said Ljudevit Maric, spokesperson for the HNK Police Department.

Passersby reported hearing his scream and tried to assist him after the fall. Emergency services quickly arrived and immediately began resuscitation efforts, as reported by Hercegovina.info.

Firefighters and police were also on-site, investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragic event, Bljesak.info said.
