Foreign Minister Bisera Turkovic said on Sunday that Bosnia and Herzegovina supports only the peace and efforts towards a just solution for Palestine and Israel. She called for an immediate ceasefire in that region.

“Bosnia and Herzegovina supports a solution that includes both states and deems that only talks can lead to a solution and permanent peace. Also, we support the international initiatives that could help in stopping the latest wave of violence,” the minister said.

“No violence leads to permanent peace and stability,” she added.

The statement comes in response to the tweet by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who thanked 25 countries for supporting Israel, mentioning among other Bosnia and Herzegovina as well.

Bosniak member of BiH tripartite Presidency Sefik Dzaferovic also responded to the statement, stressing that Bih does not support the suffering of civilians.
